Wolfe’s Field of Grass, which spreads across the stairway wall up to The Spa at 21c, distills and recreates the feel of a windswept, grassy expanse with the movement of the blades activated by wind data.
Floor Module Table
Located in the lobby, glass-encased figures are embedded in a table, where visitors can view their multi-colored, identically shaped forms holding up the transparent panel above them.
Lightmail
The shimmering, shifting spectrum of color emanating from the nine-story interior solarium is Astrid Krogh’s Lightmail, a three-part fiber optic tapestry woven on a loom in the artist’s Copenhagen studio.

Experience the extraordinary with Nightwatch, a sleep-in, site-specific art installation by acclaimed artist Chris Doyle.
Untitled
Adjacent to the Walnut Street entrance is Austrian artist Werner Reiterer’s enormous, ornate, brass chandelier, which illuminates and animates the surrounding streetscape.
Healing Tiles
Healing Tiles creates dynamic, organic patterns on the lobby hallway floor that slowly slowly pulsate and shift throughout the day, changing with each visitor’s steps as the patterns tear apart and rebuild themselves, but never exactly as before.
Time Capsule
To transform 21c’s elevator cabs into unique, interactive works of art, Anne Peabody engaged in a process both research- and labor-intensive: she gathered information and images related to the history of the building, and the evolution of its use and condition over the last century.
Uros
Uros, a light sculpture by interdisciplinary artist Grimanesa Amorós, is installed in a corridor just off the lobby gallery emitting a spectrum of glowing hues, transforming the surrounding space, and engaging viewers in an awareness of site and self, while referencing the Peruvian island environment of Uros.
