An Afternoon with Susan Taylor Glasgow
Join us for an afternoon with artist Susan Taylor Glasgow on March 29. Beginning at 1pm, Taylor Glasgow will be sharing some of her recent sculptural works and discussing how art influences life, home, and self-discovery, followed by a reception and trunk show of the artist’s works.
Taylor Glasgow’s craft-based practice reimagines the traditionally domestic skills of baking, sewing, and stitching by cooking, arranging, and sewing glass into elaborately delicate yet formidable and entirely non-functional sculptures. The artist conveys conflicting messages of comfort and expectation, while shaping new opportunities and traditions for women.
Taylor Glasgow’s Betty Crocker’s Secret Tip for Domestic Harmony #79 is on display in The Future is Female exhibition at 21c St. Louis.
