Join us during our Sip & Tour on Friday, July 18 at 6pm! Our Museum Manager will lead you on a guided tour through our current exhibition while you enjoy a delicious cocktail inspired by the artwork on display.

This month’s cocktail is inspired by Time For A New Sky, 2020 by artist Tyler Mitchell. Emulating the beauty of the blue sky and exploring its symbolism, this cocktail draws inspiration from Blue Curaçao—the key ingredient that brings the drink together. Originally from the Caribbean island of Curaçao, this liqueur was introduced to Europe by Dutch settlers in the 17th century. Its vivid blue color was designed to reflect the deep, mesmerizing hues of the Caribbean Sea, much like Tyler Mitchell’s Time for a New Sky, the photo that inspired this cocktail, with its striking contrasts and vibrant palette. It evokes themes of radical optimism, new horizons, and the relationship between self and nature.
