Sip & Tour

Join us for an evening of fun and inspiration at this month’s Sip & Tour. Guests will enjoy a specialty cocktail inspired by an artwork from our current exhibition Pop Stars! Popular Culture and Contemporary Art featuring Mind Your Manners, a bespoke gin made in collaboration with St. Louis distillery StilL 630, followed by a guided tour of the entire exhibition.

This month, Good Press Restaurant Supervisor Craig Cunningham is shaking up Tiger by the Tail​, a light, cirtus-forward cocktail inspired by Wang Qingsong’s New Women.

With a sweet start and a bitter finish, Tiger by the Tail combines passion fruit liqueur and orgeat syrup for a fruity, floral flavor inspired by the bouquets held by the subjects in Qingsong’s artwork, New Women. Beneath the floral surface lies gin and lemon, with the tannic, earthy finish of green tea and chilled rooibos tea. Served with a disposable plastic straw, the bitter finish reflects the artifice and cheap convenience of consumption and the illusion of material happiness highlighted by Qingsong.
